Well, we had the mid-term weigh in today and I'm down 15 lbs!
YAY!!

This is a motivational program @ work put on by our ins. company. It's fun!

Ends right before 4th July holiday.

May Monthly Update - May 24, 2010

Well, I really thought I'd be much better about keeping up with this blog.
I will do my best to do better going forward!

Let me see what I can remember from this past month.

Cinco De Mayo - 5-5-10 took my awesome taco dip into work - had a fun day!
Mother's Day -5-9-10 I had a cranky weekend - total mis-communication
between my husband & I. Oh well.
Ashley & family brought dinner over about 4pm - Justin also attended...he
brought me big planted Geranium. Ashley gave me professional photo pack of
her family. Very nice way to end the weekend!
Fri, May 14 - Mark & I went to Batavia Downs to use our free plays and
buffet for bday.
Sat, May 15 - went over to Ashley's for the morning. Had fun with the boys!
Ashley & Nathan invited Mark & I to go to baseball game with them -
unfortunately, we decided later on that it was much too damp & chilly to be
sitting at the baseball stadium. We met them out to Fingerlakes racetrack
for a dinner of burgers and a bit of slots play. Had a great time.
Sun, May 16 - I took off solo for an overnight of Bingo @ turningstone.
Love little overnights alone. :-) Sure don't seem to get a lot of alone
time anymore. Sure do enjoy that - sometimes think I need it. Baggage from
being an only child, I'm sure.
Anyway, sure enjoyed my last few hours of being 50!
Tues, May 18 - my 51st Birthday Ashley made my favorite meal of pot roast
& angel food cake w/ strawberries.
Friday, May 21 - my husband, Mark & I went to Niagara Falls for an
overnight get-a-way.
We had free room @ Seneca Niagara Casino - on the NY side.
We left shortly after work - takes about 1.5 hrs to get there.
Checked in & hit Blues Burger Bar for burger & sweet potato fries! Yum!
Then we played on the slot machines for awhile - Mark called it an early
night, while I stayed and played for awhile.
Mark was still up when I got back to the room - too much caffeine for him.
Had a wonderfully long relaxing morning in the room. We had brought muffins
for light breakfast.
Checked out and played for a little while before heading over to Canada.
Wow - lots of traffic leaving Canada - Victoria Day weekend there. Heard
there was 1/5 - 2hr delay getting across the Rainbow Bridge!
We zipped right in. Went tot he Fallsview Casino - where we had to pick up
our free tickets to the 3pm show '6 Chix'. And then we headed to the buffet
for brunch....using our free coupons that we got in the mail. It was great!
Really nice buffet - reg. price was $20.00 ea
We then had a little time to kill before the show, so we converted some US
$ for Canadian $ and played a bit. No - neither of us had any wins to
report. <sigh> Off to the show.
We had good aisle seats and the show was okay. Lasted about 2 hrs and was
mainly country music. Very cruise-shippy type. nice.
Happy to see the bridge lines were back to normal by the time we left to go
back to the US.
Stopped at Batavia Downs to use our free plays - Mark had one mystery one
via the mail, and I got a $5 one for 'spinning the birthday wheel'. We used
our free plays - and left! ha ha ha.
Home to finish watching the Grey's Anatomy season finale.
Sunday 5/23 Mark went over to his mom's to do yardwork - I cleaned house.
Relaxing in the afternoon - watched beginning of LOST finale.
Mark is out of town Wed - Fri this week - and Friday after work (whenever
he gets home!) we are taking off for the weekend in Philly!
oh yeah..Friday is also our 10th Anniversary! yay! too bad he will be out
of town until late afternoon. Will definitely miss waking up with him on
the morning of our Anniversary. <sigh>

Well - that's a brief catch up on May!

5-24-10 Unos Inside Club Party visit..

Love UNOS! Love being an "Insider"... LOVED previous Insider Party to sample new menu items... that
being said...we attended new Inside Party last night - to sample the new LOBSTER menu items. Well,
we got to sample the watermelon/blueberry salad - yum!, the Deep Dish Cheeseburger pizza - hubby
lOVES this, and the new chicken wrap. NO... LOBSTER dish samples. Asked waitress why...reply "only 4
tables of insiders here right now...come back later in the week when more customers are here and
there will be more items to sample". umm ... yeah... that's not going to happen. It's not MY fault
there weren't "enough customers" there at the same time we were?!?!? Not good customer service to
advertise sampling new LOBSTER menu - then no LOBSTER samples! We will probably pass on future
"insider events". too bad, thought that was a nice thing.See More
